How to take a good picture of your minis. this is really helpful for those who want to but haven't done it before. . 1) Get a decent camera, ask for one for your birthday/Christmas or borrow someones. It is recommended to get one with Optical zoom, as this is better then Digital Zoom. The one i have is rubbish for miniatures, no optical zoom cost under £50. The one i borrow is more expensive, and it has 18X optical zoom, and cost £300-400. it was new when it was brought, its a camcorder, but very good for pictures, and it has a RAM-Disk, to run in DVD players or something like that. Picture With My Camera:

2) Use natural light. they give a better picture, more natural colours and natural shadows.
3)Get a Tripod, borrow one, use the one in the attic, get one from a carboot, or buy one. A tripod reduce the shake, as it it flat and level, so your not shaking it, and it allows you to get different angles of the same set up, and it usually makes your pictures look better. Pictures Without Being Steady:

Being Steady, No Tripod:

![[image]](http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll27/greatmaju/LordCoakWash.jpg) See The Difference? the first photos are shaky, the detail isn't very clear. The second, the detail is very clear.
4) The setup. Try to make it as clear as possible. Having junk in the picture doesn't look good. Read the Miniwargaming free terrain e-book PDF for more Info, this has some really good tips. Also add some good terrain, so the picture doesn't look empty.
5) Some Other Tips. Try different camera angles. Looking Up, Looking Down, you get the point. White background, good if your selling something or want to see it very clear Black Background, it gives the picture a more evil, darker look.
Thats about it. i might of missed some stuff, but thats it. Hope You Enjoyed!
