My Marines And Necrons! « Thread Started on Jul 12, 2008, 12:14pm »
Time to post something here Here is one of my finished Marines. He has also had an Inkwash My Necron Lord Some Bases For My Necrons. And the legs of the Flamer. (With the wire to back-pack conversion)

Nice models!
Though your paint looks kinda thick on the marine, do you water down your paints? If you don't, you should know it is best to water down your paints so they are as liquidy (:P) as skimmed milk. Also your highlighting ( I presume) hasn't worked out that great on the legs, you might consider getting a smaller brush. The ink-wash on the marine makes him look very messy. I recommend dry brushing instead.
Thin down the Necron lords paint-job and he should look pretty neat. Although, I would remove the ink from the Necron lords cloak. Then highlight the cloak.
Otherwise they are very good models and I would like to see more!

I don't really get thinning down the paints, but i will try it. i did not highlighting, but my small brush broke . but i will be trying out highlighting on some models soon. (i hope) I like the cloak though, so i will highlight another model with a cloak if i get one, and the marine was meant to look a bit messy, but i think that i have gone to far, that and it was a cheap printer refill ink i found and not GW ink might of had something to do with it. Oh yeah, the flamer conversion needs a bit of work to it, the wire wouldn't attach and now ive ended up with a blob of something where it attaches to the flamer.
Thanks for the critique (?) Im sure going to try some highlighting when i get a new brush
